What Makes a Shark?

Over the last few million years, sharks have evolved highly developed and diverse characteristics that make them an impressive and formidable predator.

But with so many different types of sharks, ranging drastically in appearance it can be difficult to see what they all have in common. Despite the huge variation in colour, pattern, size and shape, all sharks share the following:
