Species with no threat of extinction in the foreseeable future are categorised as Least Concern. They tend to be widespread and abundant, although they may still benefit from conservation and management efforts.

There are currently 13 elasmobranchs (sharks, skates, rays) in the Northeast Atlantic listed as Least Concern on the IUCN Red List:
